W. P. Schmitz Foundation

The W. P. Schmitz Foundation was established by Werner Peter Schmitz as a non-profit foundation for development aid. It was established in 1985 in accordance with the Foundation Law of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Its objectives primarily include the promotion of local self-help measures in developing countries as well as the training of young people and adults in the areas of food security, handicrafts and small businesses. In addition to these development aid projects, measures for international understanding and those of a charitable nature are also carried out. Disabled children and old people are the main focus of the charitable work. Thanks to the support of the Schmitz Foundations' EZ-Kleinprojectefonds, an inclusive sports project could be carried out in 2021 with our partner organisation X-SUBA Sportfordevelopment Uganda. Further projects are being planned.
